Obsidian is my personal choice material for scrying mirrors. Scrying is the oldest, and one of the most advance forms of divination. Scrying, or “peeking” … tricky, deep, and can get very dark, very quick. Obsidian is a stone of physic protection, grounding, cleansing of negativity, and spirit communication. So it is in my opinion, the excellent stone to use for both its practical mirrored surface, and its energetic properties while performing this practice.
